About Me
Throughout my personal and professional journey, I've been drawn to questions about power, justice, and belonging—who gets to tell their story, whose stories are heard and valued, and whose are silenced or misunderstood. I'm curious about how the social, cultural, political, and historical worlds we live in shape the way we see ourselves and each other.
These questions inform how I show up as a therapist, inviting me to pay attention not just to your individual experience, but to the larger systems, relationships, and narratives that surround it.
In our work together, all parts of you are welcome. Your questions, contradictions, hopes, griefs, longings, and the experiences that may not have found many places to be spoken or understood before. Therapy, for me, is a space to slow down, listen closely, and sit with what matters to you.
When I'm not in the therapy room, I'm probably curled up with a good movie, hunting down a new dish to try, or whenever time allows escaping to the mountains for a bit of quiet.
Anchoring Practices
& Stance
I believe therapy is not a neutral practice. Our struggles rarely exist in isolation. they're often woven into societal expectations, experiences of marginalization, and the pressures of dominant norms and systems.
My practice is rooted in dignity, justice, and collaboration. Rather than viewing problems as individual deficits, I understand them in relation to the conditions that give rise to them. I approach therapy through a trauma-informed and de-colonial lens, recognizing that many of the responses we call "symptoms" are often creative, meaningful ways of coping and surviving difficult circumstances.
Healing, to me, isn't about fixing. It's an intentional act of reclaiming the values, relationships, and hopes that matter to you. Together, we hold space for resilience, resistance, and possibility, alongside the realities that shape our lives.
My Approach
Trauma Informed
We go at the pace your Body trusts
Mind and body move at their own desired pace. There are stories that live not just in our minds, but in our bodies in the way we brace, withdraw, or go still. This work begins by building a container where both mind and body feel genuinely safe, where you are met with gentleness, and where nothing moves faster than feels safe for you.
Anti-Oppression
Building Systems Awareness
None of us arrive in a vacuum. Caste, class, gender, family systems are not just social facts; they become part of how we see ourselves. Exploring how they shape identities and experiences and naming what causes harm.
Queer-Affirmative
Honoring Identities
Your gender, your sexuality, the ways you love and the ways you live are not footnotes in someone else's script. They are central chapters in your own. This space affirms the full complexity of queer experience: the particular stressors, joys, the ways community hold meaning. You will not be asked to shrink here.
Narrative Practices
You are not the problem- the problem is the problem
The struggles you carry are not the sum of who you are. Problems are placed outside the body. By gently stepping outside our stories, we begin to see them more clearly and find room to rewrite the ones that no longer serve you.
Neurodivergent Affirmative
Building Safety Container
A world built for one kind of mind can make every other kind feel like it's failing. This work does not begin from the assumption that you need to be fixed. It begins from curiosity about how your mind moves, what it needs, where it has been brilliant and
where it has been exhausted. The container here is built to hold your rhythm, not a prescribed one.
Expressive & Creative Arts
Creative Witnessing
Not everything that matters can be found in words. Sometimes a color, a shape, a movement, or a sound holds something that language hasn't reached yet. Creative and expressive arts offer another way in, not as performance or product, but as a way of witnessing what is already there, and meeting it with curiosity rather than analysis.
Experience & Qualifications
I have been practicing as a counselling psychologist, working with individuals, couples &young people for 5 years. Before stepping into this role, I spent close to six years working in the field of Social and Emotional Learning (SEL), supporting children and adolescents in their emotional well-being journey through content development and teacher trainings.
In my private practice, I have had the privilege of walking alongside people through varied life experiences navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship concerns, and questions of identity and belonging.
I see continuous learning and supervision as essential pillars of my practice. Supervision keeps me grounded and accountable, while ongoing learning allows me to keep evolving alongside the people I work with.
